Colourful multicultural metropolis of millions: São Paulo
Economic center with versatile gastronomy
Here, around 6,000 pizzerias serve their customers about 700 pizzas per minute. We are not talking about the home country of the round yeast dough dish – but about São Paulo. 70 different nationalities live and shape the city with their typical festivals and gastronomy. Portuguese, Italian and Lebanese residents are particularly present. The city is also home to the largest Japanese population outside Japan. The inhabitants and visitors of the metropolis of millions find recreation in more than 100 parks, including the 160 hectare Parque do Ibirapuera, the largest and oldest city park in São Paulo.
São Paulo is the largest city and the most important economic, financial and cultural center of Brazil. More than 1,000 German companies have settled in the metropolitan area, more than in any other city outside Germany.
